Bulging Eye(s)/Enucleation

• Pistachio's having his eye removed
  Pistachio had his eye removed along with the unidentified mass behind it.

1. Normal transformation of tissue from one type to another, as in the ossification of cartilage to form bone.

Ruptured Eye/Perforating Trauma of the Eye

• Chava's Medical Thread
  Chava, a female, ruptured her eye. Many photographs show the healing process.
  
• Should I worry? Lazy "rag doll" pig
  Poppy, a female, ruptured her eye, possibly due to a bite from another guinea pig. The vet removed part of the damaged cornea during surgery. She received antibiotics for the infection and Atropin ointment for the eye. The vet stitched a "tissue-bridge" using dissolvable stitches to protect the cornea as it healed.

Glaucoma
"Glaucoma is a complicated disease in which damage to the optic nerve leads to progressive, irreversible vision loss.
Glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness." Source

• Wayne - Glaucoma in both eyes
  Glaucoma can be painful. After a diagnosis of glaucoma, Wayne had surgery to remove both eyes. The lense had detached from both eyes and due to the pressure in the eyes, double enucleation was recommended by the vet.
