Thank you..!! We tried our best.
And i have the news already..

We saw a photo, pig is same breed as Irie and Lee(silkie)..but the problems started already.
All our pigs were adopted Kluivertka from school, Galli from animal-well fare organization, Lee from friends(he had great life before),Irie from unknown family (they did fed him sort of well, but they lacked of feeling for dealing with pigs, obviously, from his behaviour when we got him..)..

However, this pig lady is the worst case of all our pigs when we got them..:(:/.
She has bit of messy hair(bad sign, right?), black and white..and shes been eating carrots, salad, hay and worms!?(i dont even know if they mean worms as hamster food ;probably)....i have no idea if pigs can get worms out of their system or what..or they get parasites than?

I didnt plan to get another pig..i need long long time to get myself together each time someone break on through..so, I dont know...and she probably need some vet help as well:/...

Maybe we really will surrender her..my sister would really like to get her out of this womans hands..eh:( .
We will pick her up this week if we will and we will decided tomorrow what can we do that is the best for her(and manageable for us)
Keep you posted:)

Hope you decide to keep her and to give her the good life all guinea pigs should get. You know what you're doing with guinea pigs and she deserves that!

We had really long discussion and it doesnt look good. Its too many things too write.
We are more into taking her, taking her to exotic vet we already chose and know a little bit and than find her new good home.

But as exotic vets arent exactly on the same level as dog-cats vets here and you have to take all resposibility on yourself so, i would like to ask you this about worms again if someone can help us out.

Does she need stomach x-ray or poop check out or what? I am concerned it didnt cause her any damage.
Thank you in advance.

And yeah i agree that all guinea pig should get a good home..!

I was under impression guinea pigs couldn't get worms. I might be wrong though. Just a minute whilst I use Google. Google said worms in guinea pigs are very rare. So what other questions do you have?

Further research though very rare guinea pigs can get worms. Maybe this link can help? http://crossriggsvets.co.uk/wp-content/ ... 0necessary. Use the liquid wormer for a few days if sure she has worms. Good luck!

Thanks for the answer! I dont know if you understand what (in my not best english) i was thinking..

She is fed worms like hamsters i think are...so i dont know if she can just poop it or it stays inside of her belly like parasite ..its all just too wierd, sorry..;S They dont know guinea pig are herbivores i think..i told you its bad case..otherwise we wouldnt even get involved.

I am sure if fed worms the medication in link would kill them. I remember now she was fed worms. Poor little mite. Hope she gets medication needed to right herself!

If she was in horrible conditions I doubt she was fed live worms as they need to be taken care of too. I am thinking she was fed dried mealworms? Not sure how healthy they are for guinea pigs, but as far as I know they should not require medication to get rid of them, they are not intestinal parasites.

Thank you both !

They didnt say what type of worms just that she loves it and she gets it regulary:S I guess you are right its most likely thatshe got dried mealworms. I hope not something else.
They should not require medication to get rid of them, they are not intestinal parasites.-thank you so much for that information.

We havent get the pig yet..we re still thinking what to do.. her hair looked messy on photos i hope she s healthy at least. She s 1y.o.

I give my chickens meal worms. They are high protein and nutritious. You can also get live meal worms.

I am unsure what kind of bug you are discussing. While a worm like a meal worm would be too high protein as a food, it is not a parasite and one would not need to treat for parasites.

That said, in a highly contaminated environment, one might get parasites from the soil.

Thank you, Lynx.

We decided to help this pig. This woman is 14 days away from givin birth to another child and lord knows where they would put the pig than, that they cant have anymore. I dont wanna judge anyone, but i do think they should at least inform themselves what food is suitable, dont walk pig on leash or make other wierd comments, but it is what it is-i understand they cant keep the pig.. despite they didnt made an effort to find her good newhome.

I am not happy, excited or anything i was while we were adopting another pigs. Cause i didnt even plan, too.. and exotic vets situation here is much
worse than 5 years ago+with Irie i had endless power as with the other animals of ours, now, i have feeling we reached the top already..and ...y know..i didnt see too much point going on..but it is what it is..and if thing doesnt work well(i have some of my stuff to sort out this year) the pig will be looking for new home in few months..if things work out i ll maybe be keeping her. However i woud never give her to someone that wont love the her and take care of her properly.

Now we will contact the woman and see how it all goes.. we dont think anything,..just trying to help.. will update for you...
