You know, for children who are old enough there's always Roald Dahl's The BFG. I'm a sucker for his kids books.

It's the kind of story that is fun to read out loud. I'd like to have a printable pdf with a giant as the background :-)

I was cleaning up old files for the https conversion and ran across an adorable page!
This topic had to do with very young children and guinea pigs. Lots of ideas on it and a wonderful story by Sydspigsmom which was added some years back but not well integrated into the site.
