Guinea pigs living in horrible conditions
While i am strugglin to get myself together and it will sure take a long time..i saw this that broke my heart:
https://www.bolha.com/glodalci-podarim/ ... s-12379863
What can we even do in situations like this?
I think this *people*are breeding pigs for small amount of money, i doubt it was an accidental litter, but i amnot sure.
You cant report to authorities here, cause nothing will happen, they willclean the cage and say all is alright, when you dont even know if pigs have
hay and water.
If you go and buy them and surrender them to guinea pig support organisations they can breed again. Its written only they are few months old, so i dont know if they are giving away adults, too and will not breed anymore.
HEre are some guinea pig support facebook groups(i am not on facebook, i m old school:)), and hope someone will take an action to save them..
What would you do with your experiences? Any good ideas?

I live one hour and 20minutes away if you go by car ...they re from same city we got Irie from, which is a little bit of drive to do.
I saw they re already on some facebook adds, so maybe its better for them to find them new homes one by one, i think they surely will.
Thank you for reply, anyway..:)

Sadly, i am afraid this didnt end too well.. I hope i am wrong.
Ad was removed after only few days, usually animals are looking for home for weeks or months..and its not available and it wasnt reposted. I doubt they all found home so quickly. Sometimes if guinea pig fans call up at wierd ads and tell them to take care of animals better, sellers remove the ad and animals are not saved(but i dont know what happend in this case:(...). I vebeen really thinking of getting them and surrendering them to guinea pig support organization, but i didnt expect ad will be gone in three days!
However i also saw an ad for some guinea pig male, long haired really nice boy, couloured similar like Irie, but really big pig like Lee, but before i could even think of maybe calling someone else took him. At least i bet he found new home, even if it was not meant to be with us. :(.
I am still very upset cause Irie broke on through, i couldnt decide straight away for this new guy, so i was thinking too long..when i decided to maybe call, even if time is not right for me, ad was gone. But as i wrote, small money was requested, so whoever was willing to pay-i bet he is in good hands and that only thing that matters.
But now I need to take a break from guinea pigrelated things and get myself together. I bet this long haired lion found great home and i hope this pigs that i opened topic for them are still alive and in good place. If there will be any news of them i ll update, but i doubt.

My sister is trying to save some pig (we dont know gender, age, nothing)from poorly conditions..she contacted some strange woman via facebook..
Chances to work it out are little and save the pig.
I am calm now with the fact i aint looking for new animals and my sister is living with her boyfriend and their dog, so she aint looking for new pet either.
Just trying to help little pig..please keep fingers crossed for her/him..chances are sadly little.. the pig is living very near us, tough..and woman was posting strange post on facebook thats why my sister contacted her..which is the most she could do... Of course the winning situation would be if she would surrender the pig to us.:S
Its kind of upsetting that we live in 2024 and still this is happening..i will update if we even will have something to update ..

The pig is female. Woman is unemployed with 4 kids..IT looks like she will surrender the pig, my sister seemed to argue well enough.,..
However we dont know what we will do with pig, maybe surrender her to animal wellfare organization if we wont keep her ot to someone who will take properly care of her.
And animal abuse is real and there is too much of it.
We rescued two cats from the road, homeless abandoned. Bob was already adult, alpha male, so it was bit easier with him, he chose our house for new home and he was the coolest we gladly had him for many years. He looked like norwegian forrest cat!
When Bob came neighbour saw someone drop him from the car(city people have their way of abandoning cats in villages and drive away..)
Ziggy was in really poor state when she came us. Someone defected her paw on purpose vet said+she was shot in the neck with air gun..we tried saved her paw we couldnt she went through two major surgeries-now she is 10 already and living like a queen.. three paw queen.
and for me you have to be mentally ill to shot cat(let alone little kitten in the head, luckily she turned around and her eyes are okay.. so the vet took bullet from her neck during operation.
And there is too many storied like ours, so..:(but you do what you can do after all.
I had no idea what state pig is in, hopefully doing well.. I will apdate if you wanna read about her when my sister will pick her up..

Of course I am interested in knowing what happens with the piggy! Shocking about the cats! Doesn't the government have rules/laws in place to prevent this? I am appalled. It is time the people rise up and give a voice to critters who don't have one! Hoping things change!
