KMS is out of stock again?

I knew I should have stockpiled it when I had the chance. :(

Always frustrating when a product you want can't be had. Guinea pigs can sometimes be so picky! - not to mention other pets. I am caretaking a couple of my neighbor's house cats. One type of dry food for one, another type for the other. And a particular wet food for the picky one and a half can of easy to get scarfed down cat food for the other. I do my best to keep them happy!
Oh no, I signed up for autoship thinking their pellet issue has been resolved for the season. I'm down to about 2.5 pounds right now. I should have ordered an extra 5 lbs in case of emergency, which it will be soon.
My Chewy.com Rabbit Hole orchard hay was lost in transit for a couple of days but finally showed up.

When my neighbor gets her Chewy.com cat food orders, she alerts her neighbors to put it inside her house! I think I wrote about the bear incident where he hauled the cat food off her porch (she was at work) and ate about a third of the bag.
I believe we can rest assured that guinea pig hay is not a feast for bears.

I thought that might be the case, Sef. I was surprised to see the shipping notification, as I knew what the website said. I am still annoyed at the miserable communication (none) around the previous outage.
There's no downside to being a subscriber. You can always postpone an upcoming shipment if you don't want it. Quality still seems good. On the other hand, they might not let you know when it's delayed! I've got Oxbow here just in case and mix it in occasionally to give the porkers some variety.

I just received a message that my recurring KMS pellet order has been declined. This is my first time being a subscriber and guessing that KMS is still out of pellets. Will order Oxbow Garden Select pellets to mix in with the remaining KMS pellets. Or maybe I will try the organic variety as that is new to us.

I would be less irked if they could at least respond to emails. They don't. I received an email last week (or maybe it was the week prior), advertising a hay sale. They can do that, but they can't answer a long-time customer who just wants to know when pellets are anticipated to be back in stock.
SSLee, just as an FYI, the Organics formula still has calcium carbonate in it and is higher in overall calcium than Garden Select. Maybe not an issue for you, but I try to avoid calcium carbonate whenever I can due to the number of bladder stone cases we have had over the years.

As soon as KMS starts accepting new orders for their timothy pellets, I'd suggest starting a subscription. Even though their website has listed the pellets as out of stock for months, I've been receiving 5lb of pellets each month from the subscription order I created in October 2021. So far I believe the pellets have all listed September 2021 as the mill date, so perhaps they've still been unable to mill any pellets since then. It remains to be seen whether these deliveries will continue, but subscriptions do seem to be prioritized over new orders.
