Medical history: no problems noted
General history: standard good care, purchased at about 6 months of age.
Diet: fresh guinea pig pellets, fresh vegetables and grass daily, high quality grass hay available 24/7
Signs of illness:
- PMSy behavior
- chasing and mounting other female guinea pigs
- later, hair loss at sides of abdomen
Veterinary diagnosis: ovarian cysts
Treatment: spay
Results of Treatment: Hair grew back, aggressive hormonal behavior abated.
