Just have to say = Posey gave birth to three beautiful healthy babies today. Two abbys and a sheltie. Two boys, one girl. All bonny and beautiful = mum is doing fine too.

they are so tiny! I thought she had a week to go! Will be keeping the girl = hell, I´ll be keeping them all if there are no good homes to be found...

Congrats, pups are so much fun... I´m waiting on three litters here. But how do you know that one is a sheltie? it wouldn´t be showing it´s long fur yet...

Correct, cmtigger, but they are FLUFFY! You really have to see one and a normal coated American to know the difference. The coat texture is obvious once you see the pups.

Okay- I´ve only seen american, teddy and mixed breed pups, I haven´t seen a silkie pup before. :)

Actually any good name suggestions would be welcome! I think the little girl will be Clover but I´m a bit stumped for the boys.

The sheltie has only got short hair at the moment but it´s very soft and quite fluffy, like Josephine says. But Posey (mum) is a sheltie (and carries the abby gene) whilst Teddy (dad) carries the sheltie gene. So I´m fairly sure he´ll turn out to have long hair.

I now have three generations of piggies in the house!
