I am not sure if this is caused from mites or ringworm? It is located on his lower back. THANK YOU!

Ouch. To me, that looks fungal but hopefully some others will weigh-in on it. Does he have a lot of itching/scratching with it? Have you been treating it with anything?

Here is some info on fungal issues that may be useful in the meantime:

I have not treated it with anything yet, as I want to make sure what it is before I do so. It doesn't seem to be bothering him too much, but now and then I will see him try to nip at it. Feel bad for him though, it looks very tender.

It is important to understand that there can be both mites and a fungal infection at the same time. As Sef asked, is he scratching? Mites are almost always associated with itching. A fungal infection can be too.

Yes it is (assuming you are using standard treatments). Topical ivermectin behind the ears and an antifungal cream on the skin would likely work. The ivermectin should be all your guinea pigs at the same time, three treatments, once a week for three weeks. More info can be found if you read Sef's links.
